Joseph & Liz

Our Story...

Joseph and Liz met at the University of Alabama in 2008. The two became friends while playing intramural flag football during Joseph's freshman year and Liz's sophomore year. They remained friends after the season ended and began dating in 2010. Their first date was to the movies in Birmingham seeing Sherlock Holmes on January 4th, 2010. Almost a month later on February 2nd, Joseph asked Liz to be his girlfriend and invited her to the Delta Chi formal in New Orleans, Louisiana, and history was made.

 

Joseph and Liz had been dating for three years and seven months when Joseph decided it was finally time to take the next step. He found a ring but was not set on a plan. During November of 2013 an opportunity presented itself and Joseph seized the moment. Joseph spoke with Mr. Kline, Liz's father, asked for his daughter's hand, and included him in the devious and deceptive plot.

 

Weeks later, Liz and her father traveled to Las Vegas, Nevada to celebrate Mr. Kline's birthday. Liz invited Joseph but due to his work schedule, he was forced to decline the invite. Liz and Mr. Kline left on a Thursday to spend the weekend in sin city. Joseph had to work that Thursday night but without Liz's knowledge, he booked a flight to leave that Friday morning once his shift ended.  Once Joseph arrived in Las Vegas, Mr. Kline and he arranged a secret meeting in the lobby of their hotel. The men returned to the room and Liz answered the door in shock to find Joseph on the other side instead of her dad. That next day was the big day in Joseph’s mind. The three spent their Saturday watching football and exploring the hotel. That night, Joseph took Liz to see the famous fountains in front of the Bellagio Hotel & Casino. In front of the fountains, Joseph bent his knee and to his delight, Liz said yes. The three returned home and Joseph and Liz began their planning…
